*Model would Only suggest sizing down if you have a very small waist. body of pants have a nice amount of stretch but a slim waistband. Waist band is on the slimmer side model has a smaller waist and typically can size down in items with stretch but felt the small when closed didn't look as relaxed as she wanted them to be. Model wouldn't suggest you exceed her waist measurement in the size medium. if your mid section is your problem area you prob want to size up or skip out on this item.
**When attempting to size up be aware most vendors only add approx. 1.5-2 inches additional to each measurement per each size up** please email or DM for help if you aren't sure which size to try**
