Kea wasn't able to size down in this although although the skirt has a balloon like fit for draping the waist is cinched/ no elastic.  size up if your waist is your problem area as the medium will only fit up to a 32" waist

• MEDIUM - wouldn't exceed  31-32" waist measurement; 48 "Bottom/Hip measurements
  
• LARGE - wouldn't exceed 33-34" waist measurement;  49" Bottom/Hip measurements
  
• X-LARGE - wouldn't exceed 35-36" Waist measurement; 50" Bottom/Hip measurements
• XX-LARGE-wouldn't exceed 38-39" Waist measurement; 51" Bottom/Hip measurements

What's the difference between extended sizes vs plus size?

Plus sizes are typically designed for fuller, curvier figures with a distinct hip-to-waist ratio, while extended sizes are often scaled-up versions of straight sizes, maintaining a similar silhouette and hip-to-waist ratio
